New4U Children’s Clothing Bank began in January 2020 as a local Rotary initiative, created to support families in need of children’s clothing across West Fife.
What started as a small community project run from a member’s garage in Dalgety Bay quickly grew, and in July 2024 New4U became a registered Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation (SCIO).
We collect donations through our drop-off box in Dalgety Bay. These donations are taken to our sorting HQ, where our dedicated volunteer team carefully organises every item by gender, age, and season.
We receive clothing requests through our referral system and are trusted by Fife Council, NHS professionals, schools, and community groups. Unusually for a clothing bank, we also accept self-referrals – allowing parents and carers to reach out directly for help when they need it.
For each referral, we select a week’s worth of good-quality clothing, including brand-new underwear and, where needed, a warm coat. Every pack is thoughtfully put together, then packaged into a beautiful gift bag ready for delivery or collection by our professional partners. Each bag is completely free of charge and made up with dignity, care, and attention.
We aim to complete every referral within seven days of the initial request.
Anything unsuitable for our packs is passed on to other charitable organisations, ensuring that nothing goes to waste.
At New4U Children’s Clothing Bank, everything we do is built on kindness, community, and care. From collecting and redistributing pre-loved children’s clothes to supporting local families and working hand-in-hand with community partners, our goal is simple — to make life a little easier for families across West Fife. With the help of our amazing volunteers and generous donors, we ensure every child has access to clean, comfortable clothing and a reason to smile.
